Looking down on a roof

Rooftops are a landscape nobody looks at. From a window a floor or two up, this one was a plain of grey with leaves and grit blown into the corners, and a pigeon walking across it as if it were a field.
Rock Pigeons were cliff birds before they were city birds, and a flat roof with a parapet is, to a pigeon, a very good cliff. They roost on them, nest on them, and treat the whole city as a canyon.
I like this frame for how ordinary it is. There is nothing here that anyone would call beautiful, and the pigeon does not mind at all.
